Guidelines and restrictions on grandparents' visitation

Getting grandparents' rights instated can be very difficult, but it is possible. One thing to be aware of is that the courts set the guidelines for what is a fair and reasonable visitation schedule. In the state of Georgia, the visitation schedule must include at least 24 hours a month minimum if grandparent visitation is awarded. This may be divided into a weekly, biweekly or monthly schedule depending on the best interests of the child and the schedules for both parties.

Mandy Moore and Ryan Adams getting a very public divorce

Getting a divorce is always difficult and can be like riding an emotional roller coaster. The person you thought would always be on your side is now in court telling your personal business. If children are involved it is worse. Since pets can be like children to many, it almost goes without saying that pet custody will be an issue if there are pets involved.

If you suspect your spouse of hiding assets, know your options

People can make some bad decisions when they feel like they are being cornered. This can often be seen when someone is going through a divorce. Angry, bitter spouses may say or do things they wouldn't normally do or say in less contentious situations. While this is certainly understandable, there is a line between making a bad decision and breaking the law.

Seeking custody? Being informed and prepared can help

One of the most upsetting legal challenges parents in Georgia face is establishing a child custody or visitation plan when they are no longer together. It can be enormously complicated for parents to either work together or fight for custody in court to secure a fair arrangement.
